Description JOB SUMMARY: The candidate selected for this role will provide daily operational management for Purchasing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He/she will develop work goals, common policies and procedures; in addition, he/she will work with appropriate leadership to recommend and establish departmental goals. KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide support to the execution of the overall VUMC Purchasing strategy and direction o Assists in managing VUMC Purchasing that meet VUMC's goals and objectives * Collaborates with department heads and executives of the various entities within VUMC to determine product and services needs are met. o Acts as purchasing business
