Overview
Responsible for performance of secretarial functions, general office and clerical tasks and assistance.
Responsibilities
Record Keeping. Edits requisitions to ensure adequate and correct information provided. Tracks therapy bed usage, keep department minutes, and updates manuals as needed. Organization. Relieves the manager and director of routine matters and preserves the confidential nature of departmental activities. Communication: Acts as a resource to department staff and other hospital departments in matters such as purchasing procedures, product detail, and vendor selection. Computer skills. Displays proficiency with Lawson Purchasing Module, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Ordering/Inventory. Orders from primary vendors. Processes check issues and therapy beds. Greets sales and company representatives and departments on purchasing decisions. Prioritizes. Files requisitions, answers phone calls, schedules meetings. Resolves problems encountered by departments. Meets deadlines and completes tasks on time. Professionalism. Teamwork. Initiative.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years clerical experience including computer skills. Experience in a hospital setting is preferred. with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, surgical services, oncology, women's health, and orthopaedic services. Beebe offers an array of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and diagnostic services.
Beebe's five satellite campuses offer imaging, physical rehabilitation, and lab services, as well as walk-in care centers. In addition, Beebe offers Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine and Diabetes Management & Medical Nutrition Therapy.
With a mission to serve the community, Beebe also offers many free screenings and outreach programs through its Population Health Department; and advanced medical care for those who are recuperating at home through Beebe Home Care Services.
