The Supply Chain Expediter is responsible for providing a variety of clerical, technical and administrative functions that support all aspects of the department. This position acts as the central point of contact for customer service support to hospital clients and outside vendors, credit card transactions, returns, reconciliations with accounts payable and miscellaneous invoicing validations. In addition, this position provides an effective and positive workflow in the department and throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides customer service to departments within Bon Secours Charity.
- Reviews requisitions and purchase orders against specifications and catalogues.
- Reviews requisitions and purchase orders with departments for clarification.
- Verifies budget allocations and charges appearing on departmental requisitions.
- Contacts vendors regarding shortages, overcharges, breakage etc.
- Reconciles confirmation and invoices daily for price discrepancies, accuracy and completeness of quantities ordered.
- Validates and authorizes for payment all FedEx (Opti-freight), USPS, and office supply invoices.
- Reviews PO open and backorder reports, and exception reports.
- Expedites delivery on orders.
- Manages PO to invoice discrepancies and collaborates with accounts payable department to resolve discrepancies.
- Responsible for the Supply Chain errors that result in incomplete 810 transmission in match interface invoice maintenance.
- Uses computer applications or other database systems such as spreadsheets, calendar, e-mail, and database software in performing work assignments.
- Utilizes a computerized/automated purchasing system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 4 years of relevant professional work experience, required. Training in INFOR Cloud suite and McKesson Supply Chain Management (MSCM) preferred. Background/familiarity with purchasing logistics and processes is a plus.
Education: High school diploma, required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.
