Supply Chain Coordinator Central Service Supply FT Days Position Summary
Assists the Supply Chain Directors and Managers in following Tenet guidelines for special purchase requests, capital purchases, contract agreements, and vendor compliance. Works as a liaison between Supply Chain and clinical departments to support accurate and timely patient charge capturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure invoices submitted by sales reps are correct and match what was documented in the procedural areas� records; works with procedural area staff to gather and interpret statistical data for their service lines.
Verifies accurate data on Perioperative Clinical Record and Charge Records.
Assists clinical departments in information gathering and requesting CDM codes for patient billing.
Provides feedback into CDM changes or procedure leveling as requested.
Educates clinical units regarding reimbursement issues and communicates to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Follows bill-only process for vendor invoices submitted to Purchasing.
Maintains monthly log of invoice accruals and reports them to clinical and financial leadership.
Works with Supply Chain Directors to compile monthly implant usage for contract compliance and to identify other areas for savings.
Compiles, reviews, and/or analyzes reports pertaining to supply expense, inventory management, contract compliance, patient charges, and vendor performance. Recommends changes to assure achievement of the department, hospital and corporate goals.
Assists hospital departments with the purchase of special request supplies and contract agreements.
Submits vendors for compliance review and new vendor builds to AP and Purchasing.
Retrieves statistical data and information as requested.
Enters data into databases, spreadsheets and systems used within the departments.
Generates daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.
Qualifications:
THE SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.)
Preferred: Bachelor�s degree in Business, Finance or Healthcare related field desired. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required:? Five (5) years� experience purchasing equipment, supplies and implants; and performing inventory management.
Preferred: ?Two (2) years� managerial experience, dealing with purchasing negotiations and/or inventory management.
