Overview
St. Luke's Health System is currently seeking a Capital Equipment Planner to join our team in Meridian under the direction of our Senior Director of Supply Chain for our Supply Chain Management department!
POSITION SUMMARY
The Capital Equipment Planner is responsible for overseeing the development of equipment specifications for St. Luke's Health System.
WHAT WILL I DO? This position will responsible for working with stakeholders to determine equipment needs for capital projects. The person in this role will need to be able to read and comprehend constructions plans to adequately support the equipment needs for the organization. Our ideal candidate is someone who can take big ideas and turn them into tactical steps that can be executed upon. The person needs to have strong interpersonal skills, be very detailed, and have excellent communication skills. Also, must be willing to have fun, work hard, and have a true passion to help solve problems and help others!
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Subject matter expert for clinical equipment standardization and responsible for the development of equipment requirement lists (medical and non-medical) for projects across the health system. Works with internal and external stakeholders to identify equipment needs for all projects.
- Develops system equipment standardization across the health system
- Compiles design specifications and obtains vendor shop drawings for architecturally significant medical equipment and provides to architects.
- Interprets medical equipment needs from clients, performs and analyzes inventory of client's existing medical equipment.
- Ensures accuracy of construction documents including but not limited to the correct location of equipment. Manages vendor creation of medical equipment site specific drawings for incorporation into project drawings.
- Coordinates budget and equipment requirement decisions with multiple internal stakeholders across the system.
- Collaborates with capital planners and purchasing teams to coordinate acquisition planning
- Understands and interprets basic construction terminology and processes such as reading floor plans, etc.
- Coordinates with all levels of management to provide insights and consultation in clinical equipment technology.
- Develops accurate and timely documentation in support of the successful completion of projects and effectively communicates with all project stakeholders.
- Supports Project Managers in coordination of project timing for equipment identification
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience: 7 years' additional relevant experience in project management or other related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Healthcare experience
- Project management experience
- Equipment/construction planning experience
