Buyer I, Full Time, Days at Abrazo Regional Office
Focuses on processing and validating requests for supplies made by specific and assigned client departments to procure requested supplies and create Purchase Orders in accordance with Tenet and Abrazo policies/processes.
Must be able to communicate effectively through phone and email, provide excellent customer service, negotiate effectively, be highly organized, pay attention to detail and execute tactical plans. Strong organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Ability to work under tight deadlines and work overtime as needed. Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience buying products using Materials Management Information System (MMIS) a plus. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
Qualifications: Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Preferred Education: Associates Degree
Minimum Experience: 2 years experience in purchasing, accounts payable or finance
Preferred Experience: 2 years experience in healthcare purchasing
