Health insurance carrier in the south central regions seeks a Vice-President of Marketing & Business development to lead its marketing, sales, and product strategy efforts. This executive role will be directly responsible to drive high performance in areas including Commercial Marketing, Medicare Marketing, ASO (self-funded) and Senior Centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnering closely with the President & CEO and other senior leaders to develop the overall business strategy, identify strategic partnerships and opportunities within and across market segment,
Having overall responsibility for business development activities including internal and external product distribution, individual and organizational sales targets, and planning of activities and resources.
Building and utilizing broad and in-depth knowledge of internal and external environmental factors and competitive landscape to develop and enhance products.
Representing the corporate brand to key members of the business community.
Incenting and enabling sales consistent with corporate objectives through effective management, creation of appropriate teams, and design of stretch goals.
Developing related strategy in coordination with Finance, Actuarial, and related functions.
Communicating the marketing, sales and product strategy business plan in conjunction with forecasting, budgeting and overall company goals.
Providing regular sales and membership forecasts by segment and product lines.
Collect market intelligence and data, monitors competitive landscape including products, sales, and marketing activities.
Drive member engagement through customer-focused marketing processes and planning and ensure cross functional collaboration between Sales and Marketing, and other applicable company functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
10 or more years of progressive management and leadership experience, with 5 or more years of sales, marketing, or other business development experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required with strong preference for MBA or related Master’s degree achieved.
Health plan experience strongly preferred; ASO experience desirable.
Candidate must possess or obtain and retain applicable certifications and licensure required for sales in operational area.
Federal Marketplace Agent Exchange Certification must be obtained within 45 days of CMS opening the FFM certification process
