Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health, founded in 1986, is an 82 bed facility within the city of Norfolk, Virginia. Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health offers comprehensive mental health programs to the state of Virginia. We provide psychiatrically and medically managed acute care, residential treatment, and partial hospitalization for children and adolescents with significant impairments in their social and emotional development. We provide quality care to children and adolescents in need using quality, evidence based practice treatments. We are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), and are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health currently has openings for a Full-Time Assessment and Referral Clinicians- Evening The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: - Provides telephonic and face-to-face mental health triage, assessment, and crisis intervention both on-site and at local hospital emergency rooms.
- Provides individualized disposition and referrals for all calls and assessments.
- Completes voluntary, involuntary, direct, and mobile admissions.
- Perform administrative duties including keeping file records about each patient, prescriptions, order and maintain supplies, keep inventory for medicine and medical equipment.
- Manage and solve admission problems.
- Works closely with the Admissions Manager and the Community Liaison to identify trends in referrals and potential areas for growth.
- Serves as the facility Court Liaison.
- Weekend and holidays may be required.
